For cars, we offer insurance plans or individual insurance options, giving you the flexibility to choose the extra cover you want during your car hire.
For vans, minibuses, 4×4’s, tippers and lutons, we offer insurance plans designed to reduce your excess.
Please see below information on all insurances that are available to purchase when you book.
Car Protection Plans
STANDARD COVER – £0 PER DAY
Basic third party liability insurance is covered in the cost of the rental. The basic excess on a car is £1250 +VAT for any damage to the vehicle. Any damage to tyres, wheels, windscreen, and glass must be paid for in full including any recovery charges.
If you are aged between 21 and 24, insurance excess will increase by £400 +VAT.
FULL COVER – £25 PER DAY inc. VAT
Full protection means you have no excess to pay & you have full coverage on any damage to Bodywork, Mechanics, Tyres, Wheels, Glass & Windscreens. In the event of damage or repairs needed and it is found that any of the terms and conditions are broken, this insurance cover becomes invalid and you will be liable for the full payment.
If you are aged between 21 and 24, insurance excess will increase by £400 +VAT.
Car Individual Insurances
CDW – EXCESS REDUCED TO £0 – £20 PER DAY inc. VAT
CDW reduces excess from £1250.00 +VAT to £0.00. This excess covers damage to the vehicle. It does not include Tyres, Wheels, Glass or Windscreens. In the event of damage or repairs needed and it is found that any of the terms and conditions are broken this insurance cover becomes invalid and you will be liable for the full payment.
CDW – EXCESS REDUCED TO £250 – £16.20 PER DAY inc. VAT
CDW reduces excess from £1250.00 +VAT to £250 +VAT. This excess covers damage to the vehicle. It does not include Tyres, Wheels, Glass or Windscreens. In the event of damage or repairs needed and it is found that any of the terms and conditions are broken this insurance cover becomes invalid and you will be liable for the full payment
TYRES, WHEELS, WINDSCREENS AND GLASS COVER – £10 PER DAY inc. VAT
Tyres, Wheels, Windscreen & Glass Cover. In the event of damage or repairs needed and it is found that any of the terms and conditions are broken this insurance cover becomes invalid and you will be liable for the full payment.
Van, Minibus, 4x4, Tipper CDW
STANDARD COVER – £0 PER DAY
Basic third party liability insurance is covered in the cost of the rental. The basic excess on vans, crew vans, minibuses, 4×4’s, and tippers is £1750 +VAT for any damage to the vehicle. Any damage to tyres, wheels, windscreen, and glass must be paid for in full including any recovery charges.
SMALL & MEDIUM VANS – CDW EXCESS REDUCED TO £500 – £30 PER DAY inc. VAT
CDW reduces excess from £1750.00 +VAT to £500.00 +VAT. This excess covers damage to the vehicle. It does not include Tyres, Wheels, Glass or Windscreens. In the event of damage or repairs needed and it is found that any of the terms and conditions are broken this insurance cover becomes invalid and you will be liable for the full payment.
LARGE VANS, MINUBSES, 4X4’S AND TIPPERS – CDW EXCESS REDUCED TO £500 – £50 PER DAY inc. VAT
CDW reduces excess from £1750.00 +VAT to £500.00 +VAT. This excess covers damage to the vehicle. It does not include Tyres, Wheels, Glass or Windscreens. In the event of damage or repairs needed and it is found that any of the terms and conditions are broken this insurance cover becomes invalid and you will be liable for the full payment.
Luton CDW Cover
STANDARD COVER – £0 PER DAY
Basic third party liability insurance is covered in the cost of the rental. The basic excess on Luton’s is £2500 +VAT for any damage to the vehicle. Any damage to tyres, wheels, windscreen, and glass must be paid for in full including any recovery charges. Any overhead damage (above the windscreen) is not included in this and you will be liable for full payment of damages.
LUTON – CDW EXCESS REDUCED TO £1500 – £60 PER DAY inc. VAT
CDW reduces excess from £2500.00 +VAT to £1500.00 +VAT. This excess covers damage to the vehicle. It does not include Tyres, Wheels, Glass or Windscreens. Any damage above windscreen height is not included in this and you will be liable for full payment of damages.
Luton CDW coverage is strictly limited to use of the vehicle on the island. In the event of damage or repairs needed and it is found that any of the terms and conditions are broken this insurance cover becomes invalid and you will be liable for the full payment.
